Example Lesson 2 Dear Name Good to hear from you again and to see you making progress through ETB. Here are your answers and my comments. Question 1a: in Heaven Correct Question 1b: His Spirit power Correct Question 1c: That He is loves justice and is merciful. He is kind, yet stern. Compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and rich in love. Yes indeed. These are qualities which He reveals in perfect measure. We can admire such a God for we know He will deal absolutely fairly with us. We need personally to get to know Him and that is done by learning how He thinks and feels and acts, as He reveals Himself in the Bible, His written record. Question 2: That the earth would be full of people who will reveal His glory Absolutely right. Why else would God create men and women if it was not that He should take pleasure in them. See Revelation 4:11; Psalm 147:11. The question then is: How can men (of course this includes women) "reveal Godıs glory"? It must be mentally first, ie finding out the way God thinks and bringing our thinking into harmony with His. Question 3: That His power inhabited the space above the waters Godıs spirit is indeed His power emanating from Him. The earth was enveloped in water, and His spirit "moved S". Rotherham, in his translation, "The Emphasised Bible", uses the words "was brooding" and gives an interesting and instructive footnote: "The beautiful word brooding- an exact rendering of the Hebrew- is most suggestive; since it vividly describes the cherishing of incipient life, as a preparation for its outburst." Question 4: light, sky, land, seas, vegetation, stars, moon and sun, animals, man, and woman Right. A little investigation will show a correlation between day 1 and 4 (light in general: light bearers), day 2 and 5 (sky and sea: birds and fish), day 3 and 6 (dry land: land creatures). So it is worth remembering them in order. Question 5: Having breath, or in Hebrew "Naphesh Chayim" Nephesh is the Oframe, whether man or beast, and when it is alive, the Hebrew word Ochayimı accompanies it. You should find Lesson 3 a little more taxing, yet very interesting. These early chapters of the Bible are pretty important for laying the foundation for our grasp of the rest of Godıs Word.
